S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is Back in Production

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has officially back in production after an eight year hiatus. The game is set to launch sometime in 2021.
The game was first revealed back in 2010, but it didn't make it too far in production before the studio, GSC Game World, scrapped the game. In 2014 they announced a return to an old series, but much to fan's dismay it wasn't S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Rather, they instead revealed a soft reboot of their RTS game Cossacks with a third entry in the series.
The news of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 being back in development was due to a surprise website popping up (www.stalker2.com). It was later confirmed on a Facebook post by Sergiy Grygorovych, CEO of GSC Games World.
The last time the series had an entry added to its roster was back in 2009 with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
